Bringing Home Monroe

FYI: This is the same post that was originally posted, I just added some pictures
at the hospital laying on my lap
the first time in her carseat, she is so small, her left sock is about to come off because her leg isn't big enough to hold it on....
We came home from the hospital on Saturday and I was not prepared for the weather that awaited me. For some reason I figured that the weather had improved while I was in the hospital. I think that this was mostly due to the fact that I was on the 3rd floor looking out an inward facing window and the snow stayed the same depth. In fact I never saw it snowing so I think it is safe to say that I was a little taken a back when the revolving doors turned ever so slightly and I caught my first glimpse of the snow, which was then followed by my first taste of the bitter cold air. YIKES! It was freezing I seriously considered staying another night in the hospital. Unfortunately, I had done my time and I had to go home. The roads, they were atrocious. I was afraid that we weren't going to be able to stop or that something was going to happen on the way home. After I accepted the fact that I had to leave I just wanted to get to the safety of my home. I didn't want my 2 babies to be on the road with all of the irresponsible drivers. I wish we could have been teleported to our living room
I remember when we brought Beckett home from the hospital. It was freezing cold, not quite as cold as it was on Saturday but still enough to may all of my extremities go numb within minutes of being exposed to the air. But it was a beautiful, sunny day, not gray & gloomy. Anyway, it felt good to be home. Even more I loved the homecoming present that my beautiful husband got me. IT'S MY PURSE!!!! I have wanted this purse ever since I saw it at October Moon while Janee and I were "browsing" the stores at the Blues Fest in Old Town.

Aunt Tia bought this hat for the sole purpose of bringing Monroe home from the hospital in it. Unfortunately, it was a little big, so we did a little photoshoot after we made it to the warmth of our home. So she did wear it the day she came home from the hospital.

Sweet purse. I also really like Monroe's outfit since Netta just had the same one on yesterday. It's crazy to see how tiny Monroe is compared to Netta. A lot changes in 9 months!

Bummer about the roads and weather, how annoying - but AWESOME about the purse! Girl, I knew that purse would be yours :)

Omg Monroe is darling. Seriously, a perfect angel! I can't wait to see her in all her outfits and matching bows!

I LOVE the pictures of Monroe. She's such a sweetie.

Missed you at church on Sunday. We had an awe-inspiring SS and RS -- Pres. Ritchie spoke at both meetings, and the Holy Ghost filled the room both times. Hope you all are doing well.
