Beckett's 1st Bath in his very own Bathtub

Back on April 2nd we went down to St. Louis and closed on our home. While Scott & his dad were busy doing manly things I went into the bathroom and gave it a good scrubbin'. After I was sure the tub was clean I threw a certain little boy into the tub and gave him a good scrubbin' too.
When we found out that Scott would be attending school here in Michigan we came to look for places to live. We had a budget and were having a hard time finding a place to live (that was nice and that wasn't the size of a shoe box) within our budget. We didn't find anything after the first trip so we decided to make another trip, we had set up appointments to look at several apartments and decided that we would start to look for 1BR apartments instead of 2. We were being greedy and wanted an office, we figured that we could stay within our budget if we gave up a few amenities and rooms, so we abandoned the idea of Scott studying at home and gave into looking at 1BR. Well as luck would have it we found out that we were pregnant 2 days before we came up to Michigan to finalize our housing. We had our best friends with us (and we hadn't told anyone) so as we were looking at all of these apts we told the lady that we were unexpectedly expecting a baby and that we needed to look at 2BR. It just so happened that they had another unit that was going to open up the beginning of August. We walked through and decided that it was perfect. We were blind. We didn't think things through. I love our apartment but I wish I would have thought about the fact that there is no bathtub, backyard or dishwasher. I think we would have made the same decision but I think the last ~3 years of living without is making the idea of having those things so much sweeter.
I am excited for Beckett to have a bathtub, I'm not going to lie, I am also excited that I will have a bathtub again. Oh how I have missed the soothing effects of tub of hot water and bath salts!!!!

Yay for bathtubs! Although, I will miss those stories of how you would make a bathtub out of your shower :) Good times, good times...
