This Morning's Dialogue (per Scott)

Monroe: (upon waking up, first words) – Dad, why are you wearing a purple shirt?

Scott: Honey, this is a pink shirt.
Monroe: Dad, why are you wearing a pink shirt?
Scott: I’m not sure. This is just what I’m wearing today.
Monroe: That’s a girl’s shirt.
Scott: Oh.

Then, later at Michelle’s:
Monroe (speaking to Michelle): Hey Michelle, Michelle, Hey Michelle.
Michelle: Yes Monroe?
Monroe: My dad is wearing a purple shirt.
Michelle: I think that’s a pink shirt.
Monroe: My dad is wearing a pink shirt.
Michelle: Yes, I see that.
Scott: Monroe, my shirt is fine.

Beckett's Boyisms

A whole entire year since this has been updated A LOT has happened in the last year.

Here are a few of my favorite things:
- He loves to dress himself. He is persistent. And he has his own very unique style. I tried to fight it and make him wear what I wanted him to wear but it was exhausting and frnakly not worth it. Our first 2 months in our new ward he picked out his shoes. 2 lefts. 2 rights. 1 church 1 sneaker....He has worn every combination of everyone of his shoes.
- His favorite movie is his bat-ball movie.
- He loves his snacks, he is basically a bottomless pit, but the first thing in the morning is snack, the first thing when I pick him up...SNACK. He is a snacker.

Beckett is officially 2 years old. He is quite the little boy. He has no fear!!! NONE! Unfortunately I can't say the same for myself. He scares the daylight out of me atleast once a day. He loves the word NO. I say love because it is probably he most used word in his vocabulary, second only to mom & dad, maybe. He loves his little sister and is a great big brother.

Monroe

Monroe is 7 weeks old and is growing in leaps and bounds. It is bitter sweet. I am ready for her to be bigger and less fragile. Beckett loves her too hard sometimes and I think we will all be better if she could fend a little better, but it is sad that she is getting so big. She is aware of her surroundings now and will smile when she hears my voice. She makes and holds eye contact and is really starting to develop good conotrol of her head. She is still not sleeping through the night, I hope that is coming soon, but I am not olding my breath....She is A LOT bigger than Beckett was at this age. She is in the 70% for her height and 50% for her weight...10lbs, she's a moose. A really cute moose, but a moose none the less.
